初期症状が非常にわかりにくく、気づかずに悩んでいる方も多くいらっしゃることでしょう。「シーハン症候群」は、症状が出始めると早期発見・治療が必要です。しかし、初期症状が非常にわかりにくく、気づかずに自身の症状に悩んでいる方も多くいらっしゃる思いシェアーさせていただきました。

シーハン症候群は日本でも難病に指定されています。以下は、難病指定の手続き方法についての概要です。

１．主治医に相談する
まずは、主治医に相談してください。主治医は、患者の状態を把握し、必要な検査や診断を行います。また、難病指定に必要な書類の作成や手続きのサポートをしてくれる場合があります。

２．指定医療機関での診断・治療を受ける
日本では、難病指定を受けるには、指定医療機関での診断・治療を受ける必要があります。指定医療機関は、厚生労働省が指定した病院・クリニックです。指定医療機関での診断・治療を受けることで、難病指定に必要な書類が作成されます。

３．指定医療機関での申請書の作成
指定医療機関では、患者の状態を診断し、難病指定に必要な書類を作成します。具体的には、「難病の患者の医療に関する証明書」や「病名・症状等調書」などがあります。

４．厚生労働省に申請する
指定医療機関で作成された書類をもとに、厚生労働省に難病指定の申請を行います。申請書類は、指定医療機関が作成したものを提出することになります。

５．審査・指定結果の通知
厚生労働省は、申請書類を審査し、難病指定の有無を判断します。審査には、専門委員会が設置されており、症状や診断結果などを基に判断されます。審査結果は、申請者に通知されます。

Sheehan Syndrome has been designated as a rare disease in Japan. The following is a summary of the procedure for applying for rare disease designation:

Consult with your primary physician First, consult with your primary physician. Your primary physician will assess your condition and perform necessary examinations and diagnosis. They may also support you in creating the necessary documents and procedures for rare disease designation.
Receive diagnosis and treatment at a designated medical institution In Japan, to receive rare disease designation, you need to receive a diagnosis and treatment at a designated medical institution. These institutions are hospitals and clinics designated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The necessary documents for rare disease designation will be created through diagnosis and treatment at these institutions.
Create an application at a designated medical institution The designated medical institution will diagnose the patient’s condition and create the necessary documents for rare disease designation. Specifically, these documents include a “Certificate of Medical Treatment for Rare Disease Patients” and a “Report on Disease Names and Symptoms.”
Apply to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Based on the documents created by the designated medical institution, apply to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for rare disease designation. The application documents will be those created by the designated medical institution.
Notification of results of examination and designation The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare will examine the application documents and determine whether or not to designate the disease as a rare disease. A specialist committee will be set up to conduct the examination, which will be based on symptoms and diagnosis results. The results of the examination will be notified to the applicant.
